When Lucy first contacted me to photograph her wedding she was really excited and I was available, two days later when she contacted me to book, I wasn’t, I felt terrible. It’s not often, maybe a few times a year, but it does happen. It’s one of those businiessy things, a booking isn’t one until a retainer is paid for the date. Regardless of that, it doesn’t feel good.
I offered Lucy some referrals and off she went. A few days later she got back to me and inquired about a post wedding shoot, which she quickly booked. During the shoot Lucy and Nathan told me that they didn’t use a photographer for their wedding, just some friends with an SLR ” this is it ” …..?!! It was a shortish shoot, maybe 2 hrs, beautiful soft light and a really peaceful couple. Loved it.
