Wacky Bella – Port Douglas Children’s Portrait Photographer
Little Bella has the same wacky sense of humor as my zany seven year old daughter Sunday. A really fun & happy little girl. Love these.
Natural children’s and family beach portraits in Port Douglas.
Dasha & Simon’s – Engagement shoot
Since most of my Port Douglas brides and grooms are from somewhere other than Port Douglas, I thought while on a recent trip south I’d catch up with Victorian couple Simon and Dasha. Dasha had sent through some example pics a few weeks earlier so I could get an idea for the style of photography they were hoping for for their November wedding. Gritty, b&w, natural , fun couple shots and glamorous bridal portraits.
We spent a couple of hours together near Hanging Rock in country Victoria and kept the whole session pretty loose, I was thinking gritty and b&w overall but at the end when the autumn light turned it on , we just had to show some color.
I’m spending a bit of time in Victoria of late and happy to shoot while I’m there. Contact me if you’re keen.
Port Douglas Portrait Photographers – Some boys are shy
Jaylan’s Mum wanted some very natural shots of him before he turned into a man.
“He won’t pose. He hates having his photo taken”
“No problem” – heard that a few hundred times before
So we went to the beach and climbed rocks at sunrise.

Port Douglas Family portraits
Port Douglas family portraits !! – Little Henry
So with the tourists come the portraits. It’s perfect timing, everyones busy at home with work and sports and whatever else it is that takes up all of their time. So being together on a family holiday with nothing but family time, it just makes sense. I love these sessions, can’t wait to see who stops by this year.
Here’s little Henry from yesterday mornings shoot. He experienced his first wave and got a little sand between his toes. Needed a bit of help standing up in the 30 knot winds though, hahaha. Little bugger. ![]()

Jai the painter

Port Douglas Children's Portraits
This is the third, possibly fourth time I’ve photographed Evie & Asher. In fact , these guys were one of my very first ever children’s portrait sessions about four years ago. It’s a perk of the job being able to watch children grow through the lens. Mother Meredith invited me back around to their house yesterday afternoon so we could get some pics of the two of them with their prize winning chooks ( Fluffy came first at last years Mossman show, Good Chook !!) After we’d finished there we jumped in our cars and went out the road a little bit to carry on the country theme. It was hot, and there were midgees but the shots look fantastic (how could I go wrong with subjects like these). Thanks again Guys, hope you like them
